About the Book

Stone Chalmers. Earth’s top operative. But every spy has a breaking point.

The high-tech colony of Minerva has submitted to Earth’s control— or so its leaders claim. Stone’s mission: travel to this newly-rediscovered world and investigate reports of strange beliefs simmering beneath the submissive surface.

With a cloud over his career from his last mission, Stone has no leverage to refuse. Weeks trapped on a ship towing a wormhole to Minerva give him time to prepare— but nothing can prepare him for what he finds.

A pervasive cult dominates the colony. Its enforcers threaten his body. Its priests threaten his mind. And behind the cult lies a conspiracy more dangerous than any Stone has faced: Minerva’s leaders used their surrender as a weapon.

If Stone can’t stop them, Earth’s grip on its colonies will shatter forever.
